Reward posted for missing Ruch teen

Foundation formed after tourists went missing at Yosemite
A foundation linked to three tourists who disappeared and were found murdered near Yosemite National Park in 1999 has posted a reward in the case of a missing Jackson County teen.
The Carole Sund/Carrington Memorial Reward Foundation is offering a $5,000 reward for information about Kaelin Rose Glazier, a Ruch girl who disappeared in November 1996 when she was 15.

While Yosemite victims Carole Sund, her daughter and an exchange student were missing, Sund’s parents, Francis and Carole Carrington, offered rewards for information about them and their car. The Carringtons believed that the rewards and the media attention they got led to the tips that ultimately broke the case, so they established a fund to help in similar cases, said Jackson County sheriff’s Capt. Joe Puckett.

Kaelin disappeared Nov. 6, 1996, while walking from her home on Upper Applegate Road to a youth group meeting at Applegate Christian Fellowship on Highway 238.

Police, private investigators, friends and family have spent years seeking clues, chasing rumors and pleading with the public for help. Past reports said investigators have followed more than 500 leads in the case and have used search teams, dogs, volunteers, aircraft and psychics to seek evidence, with no results.

Sheriff’s Sgt. Richard Fogarty continues to investigate. He vows not stop until Kaelin is located and the person responsible for her disappearance is held accountable.

Anyone with information about the case can contact Fogarty at 541-774-6800.
